W I kwartale 2011 r. największym powodzeniem wśród kupujących cieszyły się mieszkania z rynku wtórnego, z racji tego, że są średnio o 20 % tańsze niż na rynku pierwotnym. Ma to szczególne znaczenie dla klientów niezamożnych w każdym wieku poszukujących mieszkań w segmencie popularnym. Najczęściej transakcje sprzedaży dotyczyły mieszkań 2 i 3 pokojowych. WGN at MIPIM 2009 in Cannes
 

The representatives of the WGN Real Estate Group took part for the next time in the International Real Estate and Investment Exhibition MIPIM celebrating this year its 20th anniversary. The exhibition took place from 10 to 13 March in Cannes, at French Riviera.

MIPIM is the biggest and the most prestigious real estate event gathering exhibitors and visitors from all over the world.
We can estimate without hesitation that all participants such as: investors, end-users, biggest construction companies, financial funds and institutions, advisory companies, architects, representatives of more than 200 cities and regions (such as: Moscow, Paris, London, Budapest, Berlin, Madrid or Toronto) from all over the world,  enjoyed for certain their stay at exhibition. The participation in fairs of such a prestigious range, gives a lot of opportunities to meet interesting people, exchange opinions and experiences between delegates from real estate business and also possibility to get new business contacts.

MIPIM, in spite of its great 20th anniversary, took place in very difficult time of still lasting global financial recession. In comparison with last year’s edition visited by record-breaking number of delegates - ca. 29,000 – this year this number was much lower – only 18,000 delegates from 80 countries. It is also noticeable that exhibition area also reduced considerably.
Exhibitors and visitors expressed their opinion that the event was mostly attended by decision makers and real and strong players, most important at real estate market, being still resistant to market turbulences despite of actual slump.

The Reed Midem – organizer of MIPIM - always cares about interesting conference program, discussion panels and numerous sessions and meetings which are always very appreciated by participants. The actual market situation contributed very strongly to decrease of real estate market and for that reason all conferences and debates were contributed mainly to this subject. How to solve this situation ? What are forecasts for the future ? How to survive this difficult time and which solutions are necessary to apply ? What are actual investment possibilities, directions, trends ??? These and other questions were the subject of several discussions leaded by excellent speakers, analysts, representatives of financial institutions, banks, politicians and authorities of big agglomerations.
 
Traditionally, at penultimate evening of fairs, on 12th of March, the Mipim Awards took place. During this amazing gala, the most interesting projects nominated to prestigious MIPIM Awards were presented to the public and among all projects the Jury chose the best projects in four categories: Business Centres, Refurbished Office Buildings, Residential Developments, Hotels and Tourism Resorts. Except these categories, this year the award was admitted also in another category: Green Buildings - which means that construction tendencies are going into direction of care of our planet and of use of renewal energy technologies. The jury attributed also two other awards: the Special Award of the Jury for Highbury Square project and Special Recognition for Earthquake Proof Sustainable Housing.
 

During this edition of fairs, the Baltic States marked their presence very visibly. These states having a lot of investment opportunities attracted delegates by interesting real estate offers of great possibilities and low prices. The Baltic States, except attractive offer, put also emphasis on strengthening of their market position.

Among Polish exhibitors, the most significative was the presence of cities participating in in MIPIM for several years such as: Warsaw, Cracov, Wrocław, Gdańsk, Katowice, Szczecin, Poznań.
In spite of recession and market slowdown, the Polish offer is still interesting for investors. Poland is still perceived as good market of big economic potential and all opinions prove that it is still one of the safest places to invest, especially in this difficult and unstable period. Foreign investors are interested especially in office, commercial and warehouse spaces.

During four days of fairs, the WGN Real Estate came into numerous interesting and valuable contacts and held many business talks with Polish and foreign end-users, investors, architects, and counts also on cooperation with financial institutions, which could bring profits in the future.
The offer presented by the WGN Real Estate gained win recognition during its presence at MIPIM.  The WGN Real Estate and Polska Giełda Nieruchomości are attending MIPIM for many years and are official press partner of MIPIM.

As every year, there was a press stand of the magazine „Property Journal - Polska Giełda Nieruchomości”  and  „Properties Investment Catalogue – WGN Group 2009”  presenting current offer of commercial real estate offer.
